Paiges Place
Extension and restoration of Grade II listed manorhouse in Norfolk.
Our proposals for 'Pages Place' will restore a significant manor house from a state of perilous disrepair to prime condition, while adding a two-storey extension and orangery.
The restoration will consist of consolidation and repair to the existing structure, including structural improvements to the timber frame, new external walls, new roof and completely renewed services to ensure suitability as a modern home. The extension will be visually and formally distinct from the existing to maintain a clear difference between old and new. It will be built with materials and construction techniques which respect the building’s heritage and at a scale in keeping with the original house.
Old and new will be precisely knitted together to create a building that both recognises the long history of the site and adds a considered new chapter in the story.
