Marketing & New Business Coordinator - Oxfordshire

Our studio is based in a bright converted barn as part of an office complex within a farmstead, in the idyllic Oxfordshire countryside. Car Parking is available on site, and there are great cycling and bus routes from Didcot Parkway mainline rail station and beyond.

 

Job Description:

 

Coordination and management of all aspects of marketing and new business activities working closely with and reporting direct to Managing Director.

 

The new business coordinator will work as part of the studio support team with direction from the Managing Director, taking responsibility for the practice’s new business process, researching relevant opportunities and managing all tender and bid submissions. You will work alongside the existing design team to collate material for new business opportunities preparing specific content tailored to potential new clients or sectors.

 

Supported by the Managing Director you will help prepare a short and long term strategic marketing and new business plan to sit alongside the company’s wider business plan. You will help assess previous work and together with the existing team suggest areas of focus for marketing and new business activities based on targeted growth areas.

 

You will take an active role in managing the marketing material released by the studio in order to raise awareness and profile of the company. You will manage our existing social media channels (Instagram / Facebook / LinkedIn) and take a pro-active role in updating website content and any other digital channels deemed of value.

 

You will manage the process of press releases including liaising with professional photographers and 3D visualisers connecting completed material to journalists and publications.

 

Essential Skills:    

 

Experience in a similar role within a relevant design industry is beneficial, as is background knowledge of Architecture and Design. However more importantly the candidate should show a passion for the type of work that we do and have a working knowledge of marketing and new business processes.

 

Any suitable candidate will need to be an excellent communicator and have a positive friendly personality, who is equally comfortable working independently and as part of a team. You will be confident, well organised and a good manager of your own time. As the job requirements will be varied you will be happy to work flexibly in accordance with the demands of the role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital and you will be expected to have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite software.

We are a young and ambitious design-led studio based in the heart of the Clerkenwell Design district. We have a wide variety of projects including private and public residential, commercial, hospitality, and leisure sectors.

 

Job Description:

 

We are currently seeking an experienced Part 2 Architectural Assistant, or recently qualified Part 3 Architect to take a leading role on important new design schemes within our London studio.

 

You will have to opportunity to be involved in a number of projects as both lead-designer and assistant. You will have involvement at all stages of the design process from early concept design through to delivery on site.

 

You will be an active member of our small team who is confident in their ability and keen to discuss the development of architectural ideas in design reviews and presentations.

 

You will be an ambitious and talented designer who wants a varied role with significant responsibility. You will be client-facing and undertaking contract administration.

 

Essential Skills:    

 

You must have the ability to take projects from conception to completion and be confident and professional in a leading role. You must have excellent communication skills verbally, written and drawn.

 

You must have the following:

  • A passion for highly crafted Architecture and an interest in material detailing

  • Excellent design skill and presentation ability

  • Minimum of three years post Part II experience within a UK Architectural office

  • Project-lead experience, or significant client-facing experience as an assistant

  • Demonstrable experience and comfort working at all RIBA stages

  • Self-led with very high standards and attention to detail

  • A desire to exceed expectations

  • Knowledge of the UK Planning and Building Regulations process

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple project deadlines

  • AutoCad, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite software 

Whilst not essential the following is highly desirable:

  • Working knowledge of Autodesk REVIT

  • Traditional JCT contract administration experience

  • Residential experience

The role presents a particular opportunity for a recently qualified Architect to gain experience on a number of high-quality design schemes approaching and currently under construction. Equally for those studying towards their Part 3, significant JCT traditional contract experience is available through a number of privately funded projects.

 

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a passion for Architecture and Design in all its forms along with an ability to deliver to the high standards we aspire to.
