MailenDesign is a design-lead Architectural practice working across a variety of scales and building types. In 2019 the Practice was nominated as UK Young Architect of the Year, as well as picking up several high profile award nominations.


Live projects include a hospitality and cultural visitor centre, an urban mixed use regeneration masterplan, retail and commercial refurbishment projects and private residential schemes at a variety of scales across the UK.

Part 3 / Architect - London / Oxfordshire

Following the successful acquisition of a number of new and exciting commissions we are looking for highly motivated and organised individuals to join our design-lead practice to work on a variety of residential and mixed-use projects of varying scales and complexity.

We are currently seeking recently qualified Architects or Part 3 Assistants to take a leading role on important new design schemes within both studios. Candidates must have the ability to take projects from conception to completion and be confident in a client/consultant facing role. Candidates must have the following essential skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years post Part 2 experience within the UK

  • Evidence of having been closely involved in bespoke design-lead projects 

  • Comfort and ability to work at all RIBA stages

  • Excellent design and communication skills

  • Proficient in AutoCad, SketchUp, MS Office and Adobe Suite software 

Whilst not essential the following is highly desirable:

  • Working knowledge of Autodesk REVIT

  • Experience within a notable design-lead UK Architectural Practice

  • Traditional JCT contract administration experience

Architectural Technician - Oxfordshire

Following a series of exciting projects progressing on site we are looking for a skilled and experienced Architectural Technician (or technically focussed Architect) to join our Oxfordshire studio.


We currently have project opportunities working on buildings at RIBA Stage 4/5 running through to completion on-site next year. The projects are spread across private high-end residential, hospitality and restoration sectors.

Candidates must have proven construction and technical design skills and at least three years experience within the UK construction industry working on bespoke projects through Traditional JCT procurement routes. Essential skills and qualifications include:

  • A suitable UK Construction and/or Building Technology qualification 

  • A strong attention to detail and the ability to produce technical design packages

  • Technically proficient in AutoCAD

  • In depth knowledge of the latest UK Building Regulations and British Standards

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills

  • Ability to work closely with on site construction teams to deliver quality results

  • Experience of writing building specifications

  • A passion for well crafted buildings 

The following skills and qualifications are desirable but not essential:

  • Working knowledge of Autodesk REVIT

  • Experience of having delivered high-end private residential projects
