Role Overview
We seek a Part II Architectural Assistant with at least two years of experience within a UK Architectural Office. The core project role is on a significant project currently on site and therefore provides significant opportunity for those seeking to progress their Part 3 or general site experience.
The core role is based on a major housing project in central London and involves preserving, improving, and restoring a prominent estate, with 542 apartments undergoing upgrades to modernise building services and improve environmental performance. Additionally, the interior of each apartment will be revamped to accommodate contemporary living while restoring the allure of living at a quintessential London address. Supporting functions such as a mixed use retail element is at an early design stage and opportunities exist to be involved from early concept and planning through to on site delivery.
Your role will involve direct communication with clients, design teams, contractors, and sub-contractors to meet project scope, budget, and schedule. You'll be involved in all project phases, expected to contribute to design reviews and presentations, and confidently share architectural ideas. The ideal candidate will have a passion for architecture and a keen eye for detail. Technical proficiency and producing high-quality design and technical documentation are essential.
Beyond the core project role, we are involved in a range of public and private projects at various scales from small independent residential architecture through to mixed use masterplans and expect all of our team to contribute to the design development of all work in the studio. We operate a supportive, collaborative environment and seek ideas from the whole team at every stage through internal design reviews and collaborative working.
We're looking for a motivated candidate ready to take on challenging projects and deliver exceptional results. If you are ambitious and committed to high-quality design and seeing real projects delivered, we would love to meet you.
