Part 1 & Part 2 Architectural Assistants

Job Description:

 

We are currently seeking an experienced Part 1s and recently qualified Part 2 Architectural Assistants, to support a number of exciting new schemes within our London and Oxfordshire studios.

 

You will have involvement at all stages of the design process from early concept design through to delivery on site.

 

You will be an active member of our small team, confident in your ability and keen to discuss the development of architectural ideas in design reviews and presentations.

 

You will be an ambitious and skilled designer who wants a varied role with significant experience. You will be efficient and technically competent, with a strong attention to detail who is comfortable producing well presented design and technical production information

 

Essential Skills:    

 

You must have the following:

  • A passion for highly crafted Architecture and an interest in material detailing

  • Excellent design skill and presentation ability

  • Minimum of one year post Part I experience within a UK Architectural office

  • Demonstrable experience and comfort producing design and production drawings

  • Self-led with very high standards and attention to detail

  • A desire to exceed expectations

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple project deadlines

  • AutoCad, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite software 

Whilst not essential the following is highly desirable:

  • Working knowledge of Revit

  • Working knowledge of Enscape rendering software

 

As a suitable candidate you will need to be an excellent communicator and have a positive friendly personality, who is equally comfortable working independently and as part of a team. You will be confident, well organised and a good manager of your own time. As the job requirements will be varied you will be happy to work flexibly in accordance with the demands of the role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital.

 

The role presents a particular opportunity for an experienced Part 1 to further their experience on real projects being built across the UK. Equally a recently qualified Part 2 would gain experience on a number of high-quality design schemes approaching and currently under construction helping towards their Part 3. Significant JCT traditional contract experience is available through a number of privately funded projects.

 

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a passion for Architecture and Design in all its forms along with an ability to deliver to the high standards we aspire to.
