The role involves the design, detailing and delivery of a number of restaurant projects for a single client across central London, along with the extension and refurbishment of a heritage residential project in rural south Oxfordshire.

In addition to this core responsibility, the role offers scope to contribute to a broader portfolio of public and private projects spanning residential, hospitality, commercial, and education sectors. We foster a collaborative, design-led studio culture where input is encouraged at every stage, and where team members are supported in developing their skills across a diverse and growing body of work.

This is a strong opportunity for an ambitious Part II or Architect looking to take a leading role on a varied range of projects while growing within a supportive and evolving practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of a heritage private domestic residential project including close liaison with the contractors on site.

  • Produce and review technical and design documentation to a high standard, ensuring compliance with relevant building regulations, standards, and project specifications.

  • Concept, detail and developed interior architectural proposals for a chain of restaurant projects in London including leading the project management of client and consultant liaison, submission of statutory approvals and landlord submissions

  • Manage site queries, RFIs, submittals, and ongoing contractor engagement during the construction stages.

  • Participate in the development of proposals and presentations for new and existing clients where required.

Essential Skills

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of two years’ post-Part II experience within a UK architectural practice.

  • Strong technical background, with experience delivering residential or retrofit projects across RIBA Stages 3–5.

  • Excellent communication skills, with experience working directly with clients, consultants, and contractors.

  • Passion and interest in hospitality interior design trends and materiality

  • Interest in heritage restoration and traditional buildings

  • Demonstrable experience working on site, including direct engagement with contractors, resolving construction queries, and attending inspections.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup and Enscape software.

  • A rigorous approach to technical detailing and quality assurance.

  • Comfortable managing multiple workstreams and responding to evolving project needs.

  • A proactive, collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to practice-wide dialogue and design development.
