We’re currently looking to recruit talented and committed RIBA Part 1 and Part 2 Architectural Assistants in our Oxfordshire studio following a series of successful new commissions. We are also taking applications for temporary summer internships.
MailenDesign is a design-lead Architectural practice working across a variety of scales and building types. Established in 2011 we have received numerous awards for new-build and refurbishment projects as a result of our commitment to well considered, highly crafted buildings and spaces. In 2019 the Practice was nominated as UK Young Architect of the Year, as well as picking up several high profile award nominations.
Live projects include a hospitality and cultural visitor centre, an urban mixed use regeneration masterplan, retail and commercial refurbishment projects and private residential schemes at a variety of scales across the UK.
Based in the centre of Clerkenwell, London and the Oxfordshire countryside we run a collaborative working environment where everyones’ opinion counts. We are a relaxed social team, care passionately about our work, but have fun doing so.

Part 1 and Part 2 Architectural Assistants - Oxfordshire
Candidates should have excellent drawing and visualisation skills and a high level of proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite. Revit experience is also desirable.
Opportunities exist to be involved at all stages of a wide variety of projects from early concept design right through to on-site construction works.
Candidates should be extremely creative, have a strong attention to detail and be excellent communicators. A high level of technical ability and interest in construction detailing and fabrication is important.
Previous experience of work within in a UK office is essential and a good knowledge of UK Planning law and Building Regulations is highly desirable.
Proficiency in AutoCad and Revit is extremely important
Great opportunities exist to take a leading role on projects at an early design stage and have ownership through construction phases. There are perfect opportunities for Part 3 experience through high quality design projects run on traditional contracts.
Candidates should have a passion for Architecture and be enthusiastic about all areas of the creative process. You should be keen to develop your knowledge and skills through participation in all aspects of work within a design studio.
Great opportunities exist to gain valuable experience between academic terms or following completion of an undergraduate degree. You will witness and contribute to a wide variety projects at different stages from early stage conceptual design schemes through to visiting projects under construction.
