Extension of terraced residential property in Muswell Hill.

This project squeezes a generous amount of new livingspace into the constrained footprint of a London terraced house. 

 

Rather than convert the existing loft, there was an opportunity here to remove the roof entirely and rest a new zinc-clad volume on the existing structure. This strategy allowed the creation of a master bedroom with surprisingly tall ceilings, washed in light from full-height glazing. A balcony, bathroom and dressing room complete the new storey.
