Showroom, office and training space in Clerkenwell

In our design for Canal, a leading architectural metalwork & staircase supplier, raw steel linings are inserted into the white box shell, from which cantilevered staircases represent stages of bespoke manufacture. Laser-cut openings in sheet steel glow and flicker, recalling sparks of the welding process, and high quality secondary elements are crafted in brass, timber and frameless glass. The transformed space reflects the craftsmanship and expertise at the heart of the Canal business and offers the company a base in London from which to communicate these qualities and train a new generation of metalworkers.
